norda is all about elevation in both a literal and a figurative sense: literally, as its stated goal is to make the world’s best trail running shoes and figuratively, as the brand believes that trail running the connection to nature that comes with it can elevate mind and body alike. Those literal and figurative inspirations have now combined on the latest norda 001 release, a cerulean color scheme dubbed “Ether” that norda notes “is inspired by the knowledge gained vertically through trail and mountain running.”
On its signature bio-based Dyneema upper the “Ether” communicates its high-altitude inspirations with a mixture of blue shades, namely a sky blue base with a rich navy blue stripe towards its bottom half. Silver detailing, notable branded hits and cream Vibram SLE midsoles then work with gum Vibram outsoles that feature both Litebase and Megagrip technology, designed to last for ascent after ascent. Finishing touches are served up by a custom-designed e-TPU insole plus laces made from a blend of bio-based Dyneema and recycled polyester.
Following shortly after the release of Ray Zahab‘s collaborative “Magma” 001, the norda 001 in “Ether” is available via the norda webstore and select global stockists now. It’s priced at $285 USD.
