Nike Kobe 5 “All-Star” sample from 2010 has surfaced online. Well-known collector @depeche23mode and eBay footwear seller has revealed the rare gem in a recent auction. The pair of shoes was specifically designed for the late Kobe Bryant‘s 2010 NBA All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas.

The sample sees the Kobe 5 feature a bold red and black color scheme, including vibrant fire red accents. Different from the retail version which sees a starry design, the sample sees a wood grain-inspired pattern instead. The shoe also features reflective silver Flywire outlines along the quarter panel on a jet-black base. The leather insoles feature a special badge to commemorate the 2010 All-Star Game in Dallas. The shoe is sized for Men’s 14 and is expected to be for Kobe himself. The shoe sold for a whopping $2,306 USD on the resale market.
