Jordan Brand has confirmed the return of the Air Jordan 7 “Miro,” marking the first time the rare colorway has seen a release since 2008. Scheduled for a June drop, the silhouette serves as a dual tribute to Michael Jordan’s legendary 1992 Barcelona Olympics run with the Dream Team and the artistic heritage of Spanish painter and sculptor Joan Miró.

The sneaker’s aesthetic is directly influenced by Miró’s famous sculpture “Dona i Ocell (Woman and Bird).” To capture this, the design layers clean white leather overlays atop darker nubuck underlays, creating a canvas for scattered, abstract accents in bold primary tones. While the familiar Air Jordan 7 shape remains intact, the color blocking is distinctively artistic, allowing the vibrant hues to stand out against the neutral base.

Further reinforcing its Olympic connection, the shoe features specific branding elements tied to the 1992 Games. Michael Jordan’s jersey number “9” is prominently displayed on the heel, replacing the standard “23.” Additionally, the design is completed with a translucent outsole that incorporates gold details and flag-inspired graphics, cementing the release as a significant archival revival for collectors. The Air Jordan 7 “Miro” is scheduled to release this summer.
