Vanessa Bryant has been treating sneakerheads to an onslaught of previews featuring unique unreleased Nike Kobe Protro colorways since the beginning of the year when she unveiled a “Valentine’s Day” take on the Kobe 8 Protro. While it’s expected that these takes on the Kobe 4, 5, 6 and 8 Protro are simply PEs that will never release, we await confirmation from Nike regarding whether or not this is the case.
Looking at the Kobe 4 Protro in particular, she’s flexed “Hot Pink” and “Vino” iterations already and has now revealed a “Job’s Not Finished” pair while we await the release of the “Girl Dad” colorway early next month. 15 years ago, a locked-in Kobe Bryant was asked if he was not happy after going up 2-0 in the 2009 NBA Finals against the Orlando Magic. His iconic response of saying “[the] job’s not finished” is emblematic of his signature “Mamba Mentality.” With this take on the Kobe 4 Protro, a brief preview notes an off-white colorway with “Job’s Not Finished” script at the medial of the left shoe and a “Mamba Mentality” note at the medial of the right shoe while his two numbers of 24 and 8 adorn the heel of the two shoes respectively.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not revealed if this “Job’s Not Finished” take on the Kobe 4 Protro, or any of the other colorways previewed by Vanessa Bryant, will ever hit shelves. Stay tuned for updates as we keep an eye out for any additional looks and possible release details regarding these pairs.
