It’s been five years since adidas Skateboarding teamed up with Tyshawn Jones to assemble the renowned skater’s first signature shoe — the adidas Tyshawn. Since then, the silhouette has been a staple, with it being remastered several times to date, including the introduction of a low-top iteration of the model. Now, Jones is set to drop a sequel to the sneaker with the forthcoming release of the newly-unveiled Tyshawn II.
Building off of its predecessor’s DNA, the Tyshawn II sports a familiar shape with several significant adjustments to its construction. Its upper sports a durability-oriented dual-layer toe cap and a perforated toe box that emphasizes breathability while the midsole is backed by LIGHTSTRIKE technology to minimize weight while delivering ample support. The Three Stripes return to each side of the midfoot while a Trefoil logo has been placed at the tongue and golden “TYSHAWN” text rests just above the lateral stripes. As for its initial color arrangements, a “Crystal White” pair features ample contrast courtesy of its black Stripes, laces, heel tab and midsole. Elsewhere, an almost all-black version of the shoe carries gum, maroon and forest green notes at the outsole.
For those interested in picking up a pair, Tyshawn Jones and adidas Skateboarding’s Tyshawn II is set to debut on shelves starting on June 1 in its “Crystal White” colorway at a price of $100 USD via adidas and select retailers worldwide.
