The Basement and New Balance have connected again for their latest collaboration, reworking the New Balance 1906R silhouette.
Having evolved into a globally-known tastemaker, The Basement communicates with the youth through music, fashion, art, and generalized questions that get its members to relate, sympathize, or laugh with one another. What’s more, The Basement has also evolved its relationship with big players like New Balance and Nike — moves pleasantly welcomed by its core community members — with highly-rated footwear collaborations and even its own print magazine, all while continuing to keep its community values at its core.
Now, The Basement is working on its latest New Balance collaboration, with it arriving in two colorways of “Day Chrome and “Night Chrome.” Both shoes are kitted with an eye-catching heel cage, patent high-shine silver paneling, reflective mesh throughout, and a new-gen technical toggled lacing system. Meanwhile, subtle hints of Basement branding come embossed on the outer lateral panel together with tonal reflective printing down the tongue and on the heel tab. The Basement has also replaced the traditional ‘N’ with a ‘B’ on the lace loop.
The “Day Chrome” edition of the shoe — which you can view above — drops on September 22 at 4 p.m. BST, while the “Night Chrome” version drops on September 29.
