The Nike Air Max Sunder is making a comeback this year as first-look images have been revealed of two new colorways.

Formerly known as the Air Sunder Max, the silhouette was born in 1999 – marking a fusion of retro sporty styles. But since then, it has remained relatively dormant aside from a Nike Air Max Sunder x COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS collaboration that surfaced in 2021, which saw “White/Black,” “Triple White” and “Triple Black” colorways with a zip-up body.

Now the shoe is making its mainline return with “Deep Ocean/Gold/Deep Yellow” and “Black/Light Graphite/Grey” editions. The shoe sees the same original style that features a zip-up body, neoprene/tech-fabric upper and textured design panels. Finishing off the shoe is a subtle Nike Swoosh that appears near the top of the zip closure. The shoe also sees its same cushioned sole. Although the shoe maintains the original style, Nike may have updated the silhouette with a few technical tweaks.

Take a first look at the forthcoming shoe in the gallery above and stay tuned for updates. Retailing for $180 USD, the Nike Air Max Sunder is set to drop sometime this fall.
