Japanese outdoor label Snow Peak and utilitarian footwear brand Chaco have reunited for an all-new Lowdown Slide SP Pro model.
The two imprints boast an ever-expanding collaborative rolodex. The duo joined forces in 2020 for a colorful Z Cloud X Sandal; and last year, they put out their initial Lowdown Slide model, which was engineered with Chaco’s LUVSEAT arch support system. This latest silhouette builds on the latter shoe, with identical comfort-first technology.
Galvanized by Snow Peak’s flagship tents, the lightweight sandal adopts a natural color scheme of brown and black, with a splash of red on the strap fastener. In terms of construction, the sandal employs an EVA midsole, which houses a contoured footbed supported by the aforementioned LUVSEAT innovation.
The silhouette does without back webbing for easy slip-on and slip-off wearability; in lieu of back support, the foot remains secure inside the shoe under label-laden jacquard straps, secured with Chaco’s signature buckle. The outsole, meanwhile, is composed of Chaco’s own ChacoGrip rubber compound, which prioritizes traction with ridges in varying sizes.
The Snow Peak x Chaco Lowdown Slide SP Pros will launch on Friday, April 12, via Snow Peak’s webstore and in select retail locations. Take a look at the collaborative silhouette in the gallery above.
