For FW24 Salomon is introducing the Snowclog and Alpinway Advanced, all-weather reimaginations of the models that boast heightened attention to comfort and precision performance. The two versatile pairs, made to withstand winter weather conditions, make no sacrifice in style with sleek minimalist design and two neutral colorways for each.
The highlight of the Snowclog Advanced is a modular construction that allows the wearer to easily transition from a hiking mule to a high-protection ankle boot. A soft knitted mesh inner shoe supplies a cozy core to the model, juxtaposed with a jagged trekking sole made from Salomon’s recyclable infiniFOAM technology.
The soles, which provide confident traction for maneuvering different terrains, are also where the removable gaiter attaches to the shoe. The waterproof gaiter transforms the shoe into a minimal yet, futuristic boot that one can easily imagine hitting the ground on distant planets in the cosmos. The Snowclog Advanced is offered in two dark colorways: monochromatic black and warm gray-brown, dubbed “iron”.
While the Alpinway Advanced doesn’t come with a removable gaiter, it integrates the same level of function into a more familiar sneaker silhouette. Salomon’s signature bungee laces and a sleek midsole, make transition from urban to alpine terrain seamless for wearers. A combination of ripstop, lycra, leather, and rubber on the uppers offer a textured technical effect to the model. The Alpinway Advanced is offered in an all black colorway and a warm off-white with a contrasting brown/charcoal toe. For subtle contrast “clematis blue” details appear quietly across both the Snowclog & Alpinway Advanced.
The Snowclog Advanced retails for $230 USD and the Alpinway Advanced retails for $200 USD. The pairs are available now at Salomon’s webstore and select stockists.
