PUMA and Rihanna are extending upon their recent Avanti variants with the new limited-edition Avanti LS, a sleek reimagination of the heritage silhouette. Slimming out the body of the design and leaning into its retro football roots with added details, the Avanti LS is a tasteful update to the 1970-born model.

With subtle inspiration from other models like the Mostro, the Speedcat, and the King, the refreshed Avanti is offered in an exuberant mid-tone blue. Injecting the model with new life,  the color recalls Rihanna’s previous FENTY venture with LVMH, which used a similar hue for its branding. The color is applied to nubuck leather on the upper and tongue, contrasting with PUMA’s signature Formstrip in creamy white.

Like the earlier Avanti release from FENTY x PUMA, a foldover tongue adds a unique look to uppers, while natural rubber soles and short gum studs on the heel call back the model’s field-focussed heritage. Where the shoes would typically boast the PUMA wordmark, FENTY is displayed in metallic golden letters alongside the PUMA emblem.

Offered at $120 USD for men and women, the FENTY x PUMA Avanti LS is set for release on January 16 via the PUMA web store and select retail locations.
