Is Hiroshi Fujiwara the key to Nike’s rollout strategy in 2026? The godfather of streetwear has not only dropped three fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1s, but has projects involving the Book 2, Mind 001, Mind 002, and now the Air Liquid Max too.

Branded as “fragment concept testing,” a phrase visible on his Mind collabs, this take on the Air Liquid Max sees the newly-announced silhouette drenched in black. The three-layer textured printing atop its mesh upper toggles between different dark hues. Meanwhile, chrome Swooshes and the aforementioned text is present. Looking at the sole and its point-loaded Air distribution, text nodding to the model is visible next to a “SP26” callout that indicates the shoe may be dropping this season. Rounding out the pair is a co-branded insole and special packaging.

At the time of writing, neither Hiroshi Fujiwara nor Nike have indicated when fragment design’s take on the Air Liquid Max will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including the unveiling of additional colorways for the model, as we currently expect this pair to drop this spring via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $225 USD.
