Beyond revealing silhouettes due to return in the months to come, Nike’s new annual SNKRS Showcase event has also provided previews of upcoming designs as well. For this year’s event back in June, the Swoosh unveiled the new Air Max Waffle (then referred to as the “Air Waffle Racer”). The new shoe takes inspiration from the original Nike Waffle Racer, as well as the Air Max Plus.
One of two colorways teased during the summer was an “Action Green” look that has been announced as the debut presentation for the sneaker. A nylon base in the bright green is accompanied by suede overlays in a complementary hue while black covers the leather Swooshes and heel detailing. An eye-catching “Total Orange” serves up contrast at the heel’s “NIKE” branding, the Air-backed sole unit and the Swoosh at the tongue tag while off-white also hits the midsole, tongue and lacing system.
The Nike Air Max Waffle is finally scheduled to make its debut this month as Nike has shared that the “Action Green” colorway of the new hybrid sneaker is due to drop on November 14 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $140 USD.
