Update: News of a “Reverse Oreo” take on the Air Jordan 6 first surfaced at the beginning of the year and we now have an official visual breakdown of the sneaker. Presented with a primarily-white upper, it notably sports black with white specks — aka “Oreo” detailing — at its heel tab and midsole. Release for the pair is set for June 8 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $200 USD.
Update: After making its first appearance last week, we now have a closer look at what to expect from the Air Jordan 6 “Reverse Oreo.” Its white leather upper sports an embroidered Jumpman logo at the heel in black while its signature “Oreo” speckled detailing appear at the heel tab and midsole. Release remains anticipated for June 8 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $200 USD. For more info about the pair, review our initial breakdown below.
Original Story: Per usual, Jordan Brand’s lineup of sneakers for the year is already fairly well-known, given we’re only in our second week of the year. While it’s loaded with classics and collaborations on the way, as previewed in our preview of the 24 most exciting sneakers of 2024, the Air Jordan 6 is continuing to quietly serve as another key silhouette for the division. With its “Yellow Ochre” colorway landing on shelves next month, it is now set to be joined by a “Reverse Oreo” look that is expected to arrive in the summertime.
Reworking 2010’s “Oreo” pair, this “Reverse Oreo” trades out the color found across the “Red Oreo” pair from 2022 for black instead. Constructed with a leather upper, white covers a majority of the shoe as black contrast appears at the tongue, lining, heel tab and midsole — the latter two of which utilize white specks throughout. Elsewhere, black Jumpman branding hits the heel while icy translucent detailing can be spotted at the outsole.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not yet announced that the Air Jordan 6 will be releasing in this “Reverse Oreo” colorway this year. Currently, it’s expected to launch via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $200 USD on June 8. Stay tuned for updates as we await official confirmation and imagery.
