It’s been a busy summer for norda. The Montreal-based purveyors of high-end trail running footwear — that’s, in their own words, “Inspired by Canada’s toughest conditions” — revealed a brand-new silhouette that’s a follow-up to their 001, 002 and 003 models at the Hardrock 100 race, dropped the world’s most durable duffle bag, and expanded their product offering with everything from t-shirts to hydration flasks. Now, its offerings are set to grow even further with the reveal of forthcoming 001 and 002 colorways and the drop of a new performance sock.
The 002, a sleek, low-to-the-ground silhouette that prizes speed and agility, has appeared in a duo of colorways. The first is an earthy brown with black accents and a pop of color provided by purple laces. The other pair seems to be a bold neon green with hits of white that’s grounded by a gum sole. Joining this duo is a single new colorway of the 001, norda’s inaugural model that offers a thicker midsole and a higher-stack trail feel than the 002. It’s done up in a white, light grey and orange colorway similar to some of the pairs from 2023’s Zegna x norda collection, but differentiates itself with a black tongue. As is par for the course with norda, the shoes are lighweight but practically indestructible thanks to proprietary bio-based Dyneema uppers, midsoles that use Vibram SLE foam and outsoles that combine Vibram’s Megagrip and Litebase technologies.
Meanwhile, norda’s first running sock is a crew available in both cinder and black that’s composed of combed cotton, polyester, nylon and elastane. It boasts norda’s embroidered shield logo and signature topographical line detailing, and is also constructed with a cushioned and ventilated sole that’s reinforced in “stress zones” to enhance durability.
Stay tuned for release details on the forthcoming 001 and 002 colorways, and head to the norda webstore now to purchase the new socks for $25 USD a pair.
