Nike SB is tapping into its rich heritage with the upcoming release of the Nike SB Vertebrae “Bison,” a nod to the revered 2003 Dunk Low Pro SB “Bison.” Celebrated for its suede dominance and distinctive brown/gum split sole, the original “Bison” set a new standard in skate footwear with its inventive color schemes during the iconic silver-box era.
The Nike SB Vertebrae, a model launched earlier this year, flaunts a similar color palette with upgraded materials. It showcases deep coffee hues across premium suede at the heel and forefoot, complemented by a sleek leather stripe along the tongue. This model introduces new features like a breathable mix of mesh, leather, and suede, and a rubber cup sole for enhanced comfort. Despite structural differences, the new sneaker retains the essence with subtle red accents and a central medial Swoosh, ensuring the design remains true to its roots.
While an official release date has not yet been announced, the Nike SB Vertebrae “Bison” is expected to be released in the coming weeks. Priced at $85 USD, the sneaker will likely be available for purchase through Nike SNKRS, retail stores, and select skate shops.
