We’re just over a month out from the opening ceremony of this year’s Olympic Games in Paris. In anticipation for the event, brands are gearing their athletes with their latest and greatest innovations. For Nike Basketball, it has crafted “USA”-themed colorways of its latest signature shoes, including Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 1 and Kevin Durant’s new Nike KD 17. While Morant isn’t on this year’s roster, Durant is looking to win his fourth gold medal with Team USA.
Looking first at the red, white and blue colorway of the KD 17, it begins with a white base at its upper. From there, its TPU cage sports a red to blue gradient with a safari print utilized throughout. As for the Ja 1, its upper leans on navy as a safari print covers the overlays. White enters the mix at the Swooshes and midsole as red joins in on the fun at the lining and outsole.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not disclosed when the Team USA colorways of the Ja 1 and KD 17 will be releasing. Stay tuned for updates as we currently expect the pairs to land on shelves later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at starting prices of $120 USD for the Ja 1 and $150 USD for the KD 17.
