For the first time, Mizuno has partnered up with Tokyo-based brand VAINL ARCHIVE for a sneaker collaboration. The end product is the WAVE PROPHECY LS VA, a fresh imagining modeled after Mizuno’s flagship silhouette and imbued with VAINYL ARCHIVE’s “Street Knowledge” codes.
Arriving in a tonal and stealthy colorway, the sneaker features a charcoal base that’s infused with touches of chocolate brown. The silhouette remains faithful to the WAVE PROPHECY LS’s emblematic perforated outsoles — a nod to its inspiration rooted in inorganic forms in urban landscapes.
While the upper boasts a charcoal-coded appearance, the heel counter comes in a chocolate hue topped with a contrasting ornament imprinted with “WAVE PROPHECY.” On the heel notch is VAINL ARCHIVE’s logo in a contrasting white, echoing the same iconography that can be found on the insides of the shoe.
The WAVE PROPHECY LS VA is set to release on April 5 via VAINL ARCHIVE and Mizuno with a retail price point of ¥30,800 JPY (around $203 USD).
