In celebrating the first anniversary of Graphpaper’s very own Tokyo store, the label has prepared a commemorative sneaker release with long-time collaborator, Mizuno.
On the design front, this sneaker release goes full circle as it nods back to the first-ever footwear collab between the two brands. Similar to their first WAVE PROPHECY model, the newest iteration boasts an industrial appeal that is reminiscent of the color combination from BRAUN’s audio equipment.
Naturally, the two brands draw cues and inspiration from the Dieter Rams’ design philosophy and color palettes for their first and latest sneakers. As a result, the upper is presented in a gray mesh and topped with off-white overlays. Accents of yellow orange and green infiltrate other areas of the shoe, such as the lace tips, heel counter and parts of the outsole.
Retailing for ¥35,200 JPY (around $226 USD), the Graphpaper and Mizuno WAVE PROPHECY sneaker will be officially launched on June 14, where it can be purchased through Graphpaper’s online shop and directly managed stores. The collaboration will also be stocked in select MIZUNO stores in Japan, while also being available through its official website.
