Commemorating the start of the Olympic Games in Paris, luxury brand Golden Goose unveils its signature Marathon sneaker in a bold, limited-edition all-gold colorway.

Drawing from ‘70s track-and-field aesthetics, the retro-inspired Marathon silhouette expertly blends the past with a contemporary feel with its forward-thinking design. As well as the runner-style upper crafted from a fusion of materials like nylon, Nappa leather, and nubuck — it also incorporates cutting-edge technology through its 3D-printed spoiler placed on the heel, propelling it to the future.

Honoring the legacy of the Olympic Games with the exclusive gold colorway iteration, the brand is also celebrating the competition’s return to Paris after 100 years with a range of physical activations.

Exploring the most iconic career breakthroughs in sport, sneaker culture, art, and more, Golden Goose announces the launch of its debut podcast series Game Breakers, recorded in the brand’s Paris Saint Honoré flagship store with the interior reimagined to evoke the atmosphere of a vintage sports bar. Continuing the immersive offering, the brand is hosting a dedicated sport-inspired Co-Creation in select stores – a customization experience giving visitors the opportunity to adorn their items with exclusive sport-themed patches, pins, and handwritten drawings to create 1-of-1 pieces.

The limited-edition gold Golden Goose Marathon sneaker is available to purchase in select stores and online. You can watch the Game Breakers episode on YouTube now.
