Yuto Horigome made history in 2021 by becoming the first gold medal winner in skateboarding at the Olympics. While he’s attempting to qualify for this year’s competition in Paris, his work with Nike SB looks to be continuing as well. Last year, the two brought forth a collaborative take of the SB Dunk Low that flew off of shelves promptly. Now, a first look at another version of the shoe from the duo has surfaced.
Dubbed the “Asparagus” colorway, Horigome’s cross-feather logo appears at the lateral heel once again, clueing in any onlookers that it’s one of the skater’s own designs. Its upper combines various hits of green and brown throughout its mixed material build of suede and leather. Its Swooshes and the tongue tag branding, which notably lists both Nike SB and Horigome’s name, arrive in green while the heel’s “NIKE” embroidery takes on a dark gold.
At the time of writing, neither Yuto Horigome nor Nike SB have confirmed that this collaborative “Asparagus” iteration of the SB Dunk Low will be releasing. Stay tuned for updates as it’s currently rumored to drop next year via Nike SNKRS and select skate shops at a price of $130 USD.
