CLOT and adidas are set to expand their collaboration with the unveiling of a new silhouette, the Qi Flow. This sneaker embodies Edison Chen’s ongoing commitment to integrating Eastern design aesthetics into footwear, offering another distinct addition to their partnership.
The Qi Flow follows the footsteps of the brand’s earlier experimental takes on adidas’s models, such as the Stan Smith, Gazelle, and Samba. It features a sleek, espadrille-inspired sole, giving the sneaker a casual appearance. The upper is constructed from a deconstructed black fabric, resembling the comfortable fit of a slipper rather than a typical sneaker. Replacing standard laces are the knotted buttons often seen on traditional Hanfu, which further enhance the Chinese design elements. Notably, a small faux pearl detail is found on the top knotted buttons, completing the collaboration with a refined, luxurious touch.
