Excitement continues to carry over from last year’s return of Nike Basketball’s Kobe line, with the Kobe 9 Elite Protro as the next model to return to the brand’s rotation. Word of the “Christmas” colorway returning this holiday season surfaced at the end of 2023, with a rumor in May indicating that the “Masterpiece” pair should rerelease next year.

Now, we have an early preview of the first colorway of the sneaker to be dropping this year — a new all-white “Halo” look. Set to celebrate Kobe Day (August 24), the pair is a sequel to last year’s Kobe 8 Protro “Halo” and has been assembled in a matching “Triple White” color arrangement that sees black detailing at the sole’s supporting overlay. With just one image of the new design having hit the net so far, there’s plenty more to discover, but it does notably sport the Nike Kobe logo repeated in a tonal white throughout its upper’s overlays.

At the time of writing, Nike has not announced when this “Halo” version of the Kobe 9 Elite Protro will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including official imagery, as it’s likely to land on shelves this Kobe Day, August 24, via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $240 USD.
