Italian footwear label DEMON has decades of experience under its belt. The brand has had its ups and downs since 1963, seeing founder Girolamo Deon defy traditional design methods with ultra-modern techniques. DEMON temporarily closed its doors in 2002, rebranding 18 years later under the leadership of Alberto Deon.
DEMON has nurtured an experimental playground for architectural footwear design, embracing dark aesthetics with an eye for innovation. The brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 line introduces its latest style, the Lovo. Translating to wolf, the shoe is an avant-garde take on everyday hiking shoes with bold outlines and textured appeal.
The leather uppers are treated like rubber to deliver an athletic effect, utilizing anti-abrasion coatings to protect them from unprecedented conditions. The sculptural offering boasts asymmetrical lacing systems and slanted tongues for a snug fit, stacked atop square-toed midsoles with exaggerated heels and XS-grip bottoms.
