Clarks Originals has been known for its footwear affinity, specifically for casual leather-loving styles. Well, Daiki Suzuki’s Engineered Garments wanted to join the fun by linking up with the footwear brand to craft the Desert Khan EG.
Marking the debut collaboration between Clarks Originals and Engineered Garments, the new silhouette looks to the Clarks Originals’ Desert Khan model, which is a low-cut variation of the brand’s quintessential Desert Boot. The shoe boats a suede leather upper, which is complemented by an asymmetrical closure system, left-side D-rings, right-side blind eyelets and a nylon pull tab. But perhaps the best part of the sand, brown or black suede uppers are its removable suede kilties, which come in matching colors of course.
Finishing off the shoe is an expanded EVA Vibram Morflex sole, which replaces the previous crepe one. Although the new collaboration takes on the form of a previous Clark Originals silhouette, the new Desert Kkhan EG looks to and blends the personalities of the two brands.
Take a look at the new shoe in the gallery above. Available in men’s and women’s sizes, the Desert Khan EG is set to drop in-store and online at Nepenthes New York on March 15.
