Before Nike gave him the keys to his own line in late 2020, Drake worked closely with Jordan Brand via his OVO label. The two had a serious hot streak of collaborative Air Jordan releases in the mid-to-late ’10s, including on the Air Jordan 10 and 12. On top of this, he was the recipient of many exclusive samples, ranging from an Air Jordan 4 “Splatter” to multiple gold-covered pairs. Now, a new visual breakdown of Drake’s OVO x Air Jordan 18 “Volt” PE has made an appearance.
While the Air Jordan 18 has been shelved for some time now, this “Volt” pair is said to have been created for the artist in 2017. Its fastened shroud sees the neon green hue spread throughout, with hits of gray included at both the midfoot’s Jumpman logo and the peak of the shroud’s “23” branding. This same gray is again featured at the sole unit, while “Volt” detailing continues at the heel’s “JORDAN” note and at the outsole’s Jumpman logo.
Given that this OVO x Air Jordan 18 “Volt” was exclusively made for Drake and his friends and family, it’s unlikely to ever be made available to the public, however, pairs such as this one are floating around. Stay tuned for updates as we await a possible next chapter of OVO and Jordan Brand’s partnership.
