We’re now two years removed from the 35th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 1, though Nike has hardly slowed its production of the silhouette in the time since. In 2023, it was the “Big Bubble” looks that kept the momentum flowing, and while that version of the sneaker continues to appear (including a one-of-one sported by Apple CEO Tim Cook), this year has been all about clean in-line looks and high-powered collaborations. With drops like the HUF x Nike Air Max 1 that is expected to release later this year, we now have another pair to look forward to with the “Canyon Pink” colorway.
Kicking off this new take on the sneaker, its classic color blocking returns, placing a spotlight on its “Canyon Pink” hue. The signature shade adorns the mudguard and Swooshes while also hitting the branding elements located at the tongue and heel. From there, its textile base sports white and its overlays lean on a soft gray while an Air-backed sole unit favors white at the midsole and a mix of black, white and “Canyon Pink” at the outsole.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet announced when this “Canyon Pink” colorway of the Air Max 1 will be arriving on shelves. Stay tuned for updates as we currently expect the sneaker to drop in women’s sizing later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $140 USD.
