If there’s any indication that Caitlin Clark might just be the next Nike Kobe series’ ambassador, look no further than her feet. Throughout her rookie season, Clark has debuted some of the most unique PE colorways on-court.
While Clark’s reported $28 million USD Nike deal does include a signature shoe, the recent Rookie of the Year winner has been wearing various pairs of Kobes as an Indiana Fever. Earlier this summer, Clark was spotted in her debut pair of Nike Kobe 5 Protro PEs during a practice. Later, she sported a new Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE colorway that saw a unique, never-before-seen gradient.
Now, the WNBA star wears another pair of Nike Kobe 5 Protro PEs as she makes her post-season debut. She wore an Indiana Fever-themed pair that sees the classic basketball silhouette feature a predominantly navy leather upper, midsole and outsole. Fluorescent hyper-pink and university gold gradient hits the tongue, laces, heel branding and Swoosh outline. The Kobe 5 was originally released in 2009 and has been widely recognized for its lightweight, low-top design. The shoe also features Flywire technology ans Zoom Air cushioning for added support and comfort.
