Shanghai Fashion Week was once again home to many emerging talents that are pushing the boundaries of fashion, which was reflected in the audience as a wide variety of footwear was sported by show attendees. Hypebeast hit the ground to capture not only the best street style moments, but to identify footwear trends from the crowd as well.

Tabbing through the curated range of photos, several things immediately stand out, including that PUMA’s growing prominence is reflected over in Shanghai. While the resurgence of the PUMA Speedcat OG was embraced, some of the brand’s bolder looks like A$AP Rocky’s 3D-printed take on the Mostro and Ottolinger’s golden Mostro Boots also caught our eye. Wild boots continued to draw attention with a variety of styles being embraced, including one retro-inspired design from local footwear brand 27QUAI GROSMOTT, which also made an appearance with its hybrid sneaker-heel model.

As one may expect, showgoers embraced designer pairs of all sorts — from collaborations like Cecilie Bahnsen’s ASICS GEL-QUANTUM VIII to Rick Owens‘ popular Vans-esque Vintage sneaker. Per usual, Balenciaga’s boundary-pushing creations were a focal point while Kiko Kostadinov’s continued work with ASICS was celebrated with an appearance of the NOVALIS GEL-STYRAX. Miu Miu x New Balance was showcased subtly while a proud owner of 2017’s COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Force 1s adorned with a dinosaur mold by American artist Scott Hove let the sneaker pop.
