It’s been a big summer for Anthony Edwards: the budding superstar took home a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games (while scoring the fourth-most points of anyone on the team), has seen his name pop up in ultra-early 2024-25 NBA MVP predictions, and, of course, has continued to roll out his AE 1 signature sneaker with adidas in a wealth of fresh colorways. Now, that signature sneaker range has been expanded by one with the reveal of a new take on the AE 1 Low — the “Lucid Lime.”
adidas Basketball says the slime green hue that gives the shoe its name was inspired from Edwards’ “bold and electric” on-court feats, but longtime hoop shoe aficionados may be reminded of the tone and texture of Kobe Bryant‘s famed Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch.” Whatever way you see it, the “Lucid Lime” boasts familiar performance features like its TPU exoskeleton, or as adidas calls it, the “Generative Support Wing,” which offers stability and containment, a LightBOOST cushioning setup that enhances the shoe’s on-court feel without increasing its weight and a herringbone outsole for time-honored traction.
If you’re looking to add the “Lucid Lime” to your lineup, it’ll be available via the adidas webstore and select retailers come September 21. The MSRP is set at $110 USD.
