After dropping an earthy renovation of Merrell’s Hydro Moc this summer, LA-based label Advisory Board Crystals (Abc.) has returned with its newest footwear offering: an opal gemstone-filled hiking boot made in collaboration with Italian footwear purveyor Diemme.

The head-turning model boasts a fuzzy suede upper, which is filled with kaleidoscopic cut-outs for opal-inspired holographic jelly overlays. Meant to mimic actual opals embedded in the Earth, the colorful results stand out against pebbled leather cuffs, shiny silver metal eyelets, durable nylon lace, a cracked jelly opal footbed and ABc.’s signature pull tabs.

“We wanted to take an iconic Diemme silhouette and add our unique spin,” explained Abc. designers Remington Guest and Heather Haber. “The color palette was not only one that felt earthy—the kind of material you would dig opals from—but also familiar. It’s a similar color palette to the classic Timberland so it creates an immediate familiarity of sorts.”

The limited-edition Advisory Board Crystals x Diemme hiking boots will launch exclusively on Abc.’s webstore at a random time on October 31. Stay tuned to the label’s Instagram account for updates, and take a closer look at the design in the gallery above.
