Zion Williamson’s postseason came to an untimely conclusion during the NBA Play-In Tournament when he strained his left hamstring. Before leaving his back-and-forth battle against the Los Angeles Lakers due to the injury, Williamson racked up 40 points for the New Orleans Pelicans, who ultimately fell to the Lakers but did overcome the Sacramento Kings to secure the eight seed in the Western Conference. Though their playoff run was short lived as the Oklahoma City Thunder swiftly swept the team before Williamson had a chance to return.
While uncertainty surrounds the team’s future, Williamson remains locked-in with Jordan Brand, which is expected to present his fourth signature shoe later this year. Before the Jordan Zion 3 is succeeded by whatever the duo has cooked up for next season, a new “Rising” colorway is set to launch. Equipped with the model’s typical details, including his mud-based texture at the upper, Formula23 foam at the midsole and a herringbone traction pattern, this version of the Zion 3 is best defined by its gradient that reaches across the entirety of the shoe. Beginning with a soft pink at the toe, it then turns to an off-white “Pale Ivory” at the midfoot before being completed by a sky blue hue at the heel.
At the time of writing, Nike has not announced when this “Rising” colorway of the Jordan Zion 3 will be landing on retail shelves. However, it’s currently expected to release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers starting on May 15 at a price of $140 USD. Stay tuned for official confirmation and keep an eye out for the Jordan Zion 4 to likely make an appearance this summer.
