Austin Reaves and the Los Angeles Lakers had a brief appearance this postseason — emerging from the NBA Play-In Tournament as the seven seed and then losing to the recently-crowned MVP Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets in five games. While Reaves will have to wait until October to take the court again, he’ll be sure to continue working away at his golf game. The young basketball star has as an alter ego of “Hillbilly Bogey” that he goes by while on the green, with it serving as inspiration for his signature shoe’s latest release.
Outfitting the Rigorer AR1 in this new “Hillbilly Bogey” colorway, the model’s eighth look combines green and white throughout the sneaker. Its golf-inspired detailing includes faux grass at the bubble lacing system and Reaves’ Hillbilly Bogey logo at the tongue’s interior. On top of this, the court-ready sneaker is equipped with a thematic shoe box.
Release for this “Hillbilly Bogey” colorway of Austin Reaves’ Rigorer AR1 is set to go down on May 18 via Rigorer and KICKS CREW at a price of $100 USD. Stay tuned for more colorways of Reaves’ first signature shoe as we await the possible introduction of a sequel design later this year.
