Following the successful debut of his first-of-its-kind footwear brand, Takashi Murakami is further expanding his Ohana Hatake lineup, spotlighting the Ohana Full-Bloom silhouette in two new colorways: “Meteorite” and “Star White.”

The brand’s name, which translates to “field of flowers,” draws inspiration from a poignant moment in the manga series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. Murakami was deeply moved by a scene featuring a spell that creates a field of flowers, a metaphor that resonates with his long-standing artistic exploration of floral motifs.

Departing from his typically vibrant color palettes, these new colorways embrace a sleek black-and-white aesthetic, offering a more minimalist approach to the brand’s design language. While the Ohana Full-Bloom continues to celebrate Murakami’s iconic flower motif, the brand also teases the launch of the Surippa Ohana, a new model that takes a different design direction. Inspired by traditional Japanese house slippers, this new model features Murakami’s artwork intricately carved into the rubber tread, showcasing the brand’s commitment to blending cultural heritage with contemporary design.’

Priced at $120 USD, the two new colorways are now available on Ohana Hatake’s webstore. For more updates, keep an eye out on the brand’s official Instagram page.
