Name: Vans Skate Old Skool by Elijah Berle
Colorway: “Vintage Blue”
Release Date: December 5
Where to Buy: Vans
Five years after landing his first signature sneaker with Vans, Elijah Berle is back to rework one of the label’s most storied sneaker silhouettes. On the heels of a big year working closely with the footwear imprint – led by his role in Vans OTW‘s “Always Pushing Campaign” – Berle is now the latest collaborator to offer his design eye to the Vans Skate Old Skool.
An amalgamation of workwear and skatewear, the Vans Skate Old Skool by Elijah Berle spins the two key pillars of Berle’s persona: working hard and skating harder. Equipped with ample functional features throughout its silhouette, the sneaker, per a press release, “embodies a strong work ethic,” dipped in a “Vintage Blue” colorway which takes a retro-esque “worn-in” finish in true workwear fashion.
PopCush™ insoles absorb impact, while SickStick™ rubber outsoles ensure exceptional grip and board feel. Durable black suede overlays, custom-printed footbeds and a reinforced upper, finish off the design.
Alongside the sneakers arrive an accompanying apparel capsule, complete with an all-white graphic t-shirt embroidered with a Vans logo in the middle, as well as an embroidered cap.
