Name: Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red”
MSRP: $210 USD
Release Date: Fall 2025
Where to Buy: Nike
As Jordan Brand‘s release plans for 2025 continue to trickle out across the sneaker interwebs, it’s been revealed that the OG Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is set to return. Reportedly touching down as part of the brand’s fall Air Jordan lineup — and, in doing so, celebrating its 35th anniversary — the “Fire Red” is the latest addition to a stacked lineup that also includes the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” and Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined.”
What makes the “Fire Red” unique in Michael Jordan‘s signature footwear lexicon is that there are actually two OG colorways: one with a reflective tongue and mostly black midsole, the other with a black tongue and a more red-based midsole. It’s the latter that’s set to return in 2025, and it’ll come with all its original details, including Jordan’s #23 embroidered towards the heel and a large Nike Air hit on the rear. The black-tongued colorway was last released in 2013 and featured a Jumpman on its heel instead of the OG Nike Air branding, making this the most true-to-the-original iteration yet. (Pictured above is a signed OG pair from 1991 — the re-release will not feature Michael Jordan’s signature on its collar.)
Expect the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” to touch down towards the end of 2025, and retail for $210 USD.
