Dr. Martens has delivered a solid slate of collaborations throughout 2024 alone, pairing up with partners including Rick Owens – not once, but twice – as well as Supreme, The Great Frog and leather-clad collective Nine Inch Nails. The latest in the lineup is a lit link-up with Kunichi Nomura‘s TRIPSTER for a glow-in-the-dark iteration of the Leather Oxford Shoe.
“There are times when we all have to glow,” explains Nomura of the captivating collaborative endeavor. “At the foot of a dimly lit scene, on the way home from a drunk walk, and on the floor of a club after five. We worked on suits, trench coats and sneakers in the past, but I’ve been wanting to make a formal attire that works perfectly day or night – total coordination from head-to-toe.”
With that sentiment in mind, Nomura – who even leads the campaign himself – infused the three-holed TRIPSTER x Dr. Martens leather shoe with a glow-in-the-dark design, with the shoe standing atop a phosphorescent rubber sole.
