After years of collaborating with the Swoosh, Edison Chen and his label CLOT joined the Three Stripes last year. His debut project with adidas was centered around the Superstar — equipping it with a unique ripple sole. Now, he’s invited up-and-coming designer Caroline Hu to connect with adidas for a special Reverie by Caroline Hu x adidas Samba project.
Teased for several months now, Caroline Hu’s graceful iterations of the adidas Samba are finally set to arrive on shelves this week. Of the five sneakers crafted for the collaboration, the first two utilize layers of lace throughout their uppers, covering the Samba in black and blue looks while still maintaining the shoe’s signature Three Stripes detail in white. As for the remaining three pairs, they all feature textured silk in color arrangements of black, off-white and pink. Each of these three also sport the shoe’s Three Stripes in leather, appearing in off-white, black and cream respectively. From there, a special blue tongue tag with co-branding is included across all five designs to complete the range.
Release for each of the Reverie by Caroline Hu x adidas Samba looks is set to take place on May 24 via JUICE and select retailers. At the time of writing, pricing details have not been shared.
