It’s been two years since Nike SB connected with HUF to pay homage to its founder, Keith Hufnagel, with three special SB Dunk Low colorways. A year later, it was rumored that the two would again reprise their partnership with a re-release of their collaborative gray and neon green Air Max 1 from 2004, with it set to take place 20 years later in 2024. Adding to the excitement, a first look at the duo’s “Brilliant Orange” colorway that was created as just a sample in 2004 has now surfaced.
While we await a preview of the aforementioned re-release, a one image reveal of the “Brilliant Orange” pair offers a basic idea of what to expect. A dark gray mudguard is accompanied by a light gray at the base and a slightly-darker light gray at its overlays. Its signature orange hue adorns the lateral Swoosh, lining and appears within the visible Air unit located at the heel while gray covers a majority of the sole.
At the time of writing, neither HUF nor Nike have shared any details about this “Brilliant Orange” pair releasing. Stay tuned for updates as it’s currently expected to launch later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers such as HUF at a starting price of $160 USD.
