It has been just under seven years since Guo Ailun made history as Jordan Brand’s first Chinese basketball player. The CBA star signed with the Jumpman team in 2017 and has since received an impressive list of player-exclusive colorways, often taking on the latest model in the Air Jordan series shortly after its debut. His last entry was revealed back in September and saw his tried-and-true combination of white and jade make an appearance across the Air Jordan 38. Now, Ailun has taken the time to prepare the most recent iteration of the shoe — the Air Jordan 38 Low — with a new jade-colored finish.
In the brand’s official preview of the pair, the new colorway features a unique composition of materials and colors. Its upper sees a smooth nubuck in jade joined by the silhouette’s midfoot mesh in a matching blue-green while contrast-heavy embroidery circles the heel in white, yellow and black. Ailun and Jumpman branding touches down on the tongues of the left and right shoes respectively as semi-translucent midsole detailing is supported by a court-ready outsole.
Hang tight as no details pertaining to the release of Guo Ailun’s new Air Jordan 38 Low PE have been disclosed by the Swoosh. It’s likely to touch down on shelves worldwide via Nike and select retailers by the end of the year at a starting price of $175 USD.
