Portland-based footwear pioneer KEEN is grounded in durability, crafting sustainable gear that keeps comfort at the forefront. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its open-air sneaker, KEEN is updating the classic UNEEK style with fresh features — releasing several new versions throughout 2024.
The UNEEK model has become synonymous with lightweight expression ideal for summertime, seeing KEEN’s Director of Innovation, Rory Fuerst Jr., rethink traditional footwear design. The shoe is modeled after human feet to create the perfect fit, utilizing woven cord uppers to support movement seamlessly.
The snug shoe has evolved into a KEEN classic, with the design team switching gears and only taking 15 minutes to craft each pair. KEEN is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an Original Fit model that boasts wide-angled toe boxes built from recycled plastic cords with adjustable lacing systems. The UNEEK receives hiking-ready outsoles to surpass unpredictable conditions, completing the design with improved cushioning for a smooth ride.
