New Balance’s Numeric, the skate division of the footwear manufacturer, has introduced its latest offering, the 480 “Trail Pack,” brought to life in a campaign with Numeric-sponsored skater Marcello Campanello — shot by Jake Darwen.
This particular model has been receiving more attention lately, both in and outside of the skateboarding realm, with inline releases like the Yin and Yang pack and collaborations like that with Andrew Reynolds.
As for the latest examples of the 480, the Trail Pack includes two distinct colorways, namely Tan/Burgundy and Grey/Navy. Notably, the 480, “from the ’83, re-mixed,” draws inspiration from New Balance hiking shoes, which can be seen in details like the lace choice, texturized leather uppers and added cushioning.
Where the Numeric 480 shines, however, is a unique update designed specifically for the skating world. It features a widened-toe design, FuelCell foam and a molded tread to provide the best possible ride, comfort and traction on the board.
Both pairs are available now via New Balance’s official site, priced at $99 USD, with some of the larger sizes already sold out at the time of writing.
