Nike sculpts the Air Max 1 ’86 OG into a stunning “Museum Masterpiece.”
The iteration of this Tinker Hatfield-design classic turns its back on tradition, and instead is crafted with textured and tainted off-white marbled leather uppers. Complementing suede lands on the monochromatic panel swooshes and tongue tag, with additional branding details making their way on to the embroidered Nike Air heel logo and insoles — the latter of which are presented with unique typography that strictly states “PLEASE DO NOT STEP ON THE ART” and an homage to Hatfield as the artist of the silhouette. Finally, the model rests on a white foam midsole with a visible Air Max unit and outsole, while white laces tie the masterpiece together for a clean finish.
