Update: Amongst the many exciting footwear reveals surrounding Paris Fashion Week in January, C.P. Company and ASICS stood out with the debut of their collaborative GEL-QUANTUM 360 VIII. While a lucky few were able to cop pairs in Paris, the two are gearing up to launch both colorways in Europe later this month. Official details regarding the global launch have not been shared just yet, but a complete visual breakdown of both the yellow and silver looks has now been showcased. Stay tuned for updates and review our initial coverage below for more info.
Original Story: C.P. Company and ASICS have teamed up for the first time, producing a bold yellow take on the GEL-QUANTUM 360. Revealed by Instagram sneaker leaker Leo Chien, the sneaker offers a tonal treatment, layered synthetic/mesh detailing and, most notably, sizable C.P. Company logos on the toebox and tongue alike.
Fans of the GEL-QUANTUM 360 may notice that both the upper’s overall build and the shape of the full-foot GEL cushioning system are both slightly altered from past releases. That’s because this collaboration serves as the debut of a new model in the GEL-QUANTUM 360 line, the GEL-QUANTUM 360 VIII. Though info on the new model is scarce, more will likely be revealed soon as ASICS will host a Paris Fashion Week pop-up on January 19 and 20 — where the two-pair collaboration (a second colorway has yet to be revealed should be on full display.
The partnership with ASICS is a continuation of a particularly strong collaborative period for C.P. Company, who, in the last 12 months, has worked with Palace, Barbour and One Block Down — and this collaboration should compete with New Balance and Stone Island’s efforts for the hearts of “casuals” the world over. At the time of writing, there’s no release date for the C.P. Company x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM 360, but as mentioned above more information should be made available soon.
