KEEN and OPEN YY have officially unveiled their first collaborative collection, introducing a functional rework of the OPEN YY x KEEN ZERRAPORT II. The debut partnership merges two distinct design languages, pairing KEEN’s technical, function-first approach with OPEN YY’s instinct for shape, styling, and reinterpretation.
At the core of the release is the ZERRAPORT II, a hybrid sandal known for its stripped-back, open-air construction. Designed to merge physical performance with visual clarity, the footwear reduces the traditional sandal silhouette down to only its essential components. The shoe’s original fit is highlighted by a generous toe box, engineering the space to allow the wearer’s foot to move naturally. Across the upper, an adjustable hook-and-loop strap provides a secure and comfortable hold, anchoring the foot without compromising the silhouette’s adaptable nature.
Aesthetically, OPEN YY drew upon the physical textures and tones of rocky canyons to reinterpret the technical design. Arriving in “Red” and “Khaki” colorways, the collaborative palette is directly inspired by the hues of rocks found both above and below the water’s surface. The resulting collection channels ideas of natural rhythm, balance, and contrast, creating a single form that is designed to move easily between outdoor settings and everyday city life.
