Nike is officially bringing a fresh, pitch-ready aesthetic to the Nike Astrograbber SE, updating the classic turf shoe for Summer 2026. Originally designed to provide grip on American football fields, the archival model has been reimagined in a sleek “Black” colorway that nods to global soccer culture as the World Cup approaches.
Transitioning from the gridiron to the soccer pitch, this special edition iteration takes a refined and highly functional approach. The premium leather upper softens with wear and is defined by a distinct quilted construction inspired by famous Nike cleats from the 1980s and 1990s. In a departure from standard versions, the design omits the visible side Swooshes in favor of a clean, minimalist profile.
Further rooting the shoe in its new soccer identity, a small blue triangular Nike Football logo is positioned on the heel, complemented by matching blue graphics on the right insole. The model maintains its traditional low-cut silhouette, padded collar, and foam midsole for everyday comfort. Completing the design is the signature rubber Waffle outsole, offering durable traction and heritage style.
